Romanian psych, haunting electro, tribal acid techno and much more…

Lakker – Emergo / Ever Rising (Alex Smoke Remixes)

It’s an all-R&S affair as Scottish producer Alex Smoke remixes Lakker’s recent two-tracker for the Belgian label. Whirring, disjointed techno transmissions from beyond Hadrian’s Wall.

Alexander Robotnik – Media House [via xlr8r]

Balmy stabs of synth and percolating grooves shine with a playful luminescence on ‘Media House’, a cut extracted from the latest in a series of releases by Italian dance originator, Alexander Robotnick. About the EP series, Robotnick explains “With the help of my old analog synths I produced the music I’d like to dance to at my imaginary club. The project includes about thirty tracks, composed in the last 2 years. The tracks are in different styles because styles to me are but the expression of ‘moods’.”

Music For An Imaginary Club – Vol. 5 is out on June 20th via Hot Elefant Music.

Norwell – From ’82 To ’86

We got a taste of what to expect from the Budapest-based producer’s Pinkman debut the other day when the Dutch label dropped this killer electro cut via Juno Plus. The track title doesn’t beat around the bush either – the Golden age electro-stylings and haunting electronics colliding in a turbulent vortex of pad, bass synth and drum.

Recurrent – 007 – Disrute

How about a druggy chugger, shrouded in Middle Eastern mysticism? Well that’s exactly what we have for you here in a free download from everyone’s favourite Australian switch flickers, Power Station. If you’re digging this, a track from Disrute’s upcoming Power Station debut featured in our latest podcast, courtesy of PS resident, Elliot Ofmarco.

Delusion Men – Pressure Ride

A matter of weeks since premiering a cut off the inaugural 12″ for their newly-formed P-Balans offshoot, and we stumbled across this freebie from the Romanian psych aficionados, Future Nuggets. A full Delusion Men release is due to appear on the Bucharest label any moment now, so keep those eyes peeled!

Mark Forshaw – Jeff Grills

Tribal acid business from DABJ affiliate Mark Forshaw as he channels his inner Jeff Mills. Detroit native Mills has always been recognised for his “relentless pursuit of hardness” and Forshaw manages to capture all that irrepressible energy.
