Irish folk reinterpretations, mutant broken techno, an unreleased dub from The Golden Filter and much more…

Bullion – LCD Anna

Bullion‘s love affair with Irish folk continues as he takes on Clannad’s ‘Caisleáin Óir’ for the Whities dubplate series, pointing his rework towards the dancefloor without diminishing emotional impact of the original. Limited to twenty, all the physical copies were snapped up in the blink of an eye but you can still download it for free.

The Maghreban – Patterns

With the almost inevitable pressing plant delays pushing The Maghreban‘s upcoming release back, he decided to make one of the tracks available as a free download. A typically mutant strain of broken techno from the Zoot Records founder.

Bawrut – Chien de Temps

Seeking to subvert conceptions of cultural ownership, Silencio boss Barwut draws inspiration from a melting pot of influences on his upcoming debut for Lyon label, Hard Fist Records. Simmering acid line meets African chanting, available to download via XLR8R.

Ahead of making their second Optimo Music appearance this year, Australian/American duo The Golden Filter step up for the Kablys Club free download series with an unreleased dub version of their 2010 track, ‘Hide Me’.

Automne – Gift Economy

Marking a departure from the sounds synonymous with his Eliphino alias, Tom Wrankmore announced his new Automne project with a free download, offering up eleven totally fresh productions. Resembling “evolution rather than rebirth,” Gift Economy explores the fringes of house, techno and jungle, whetting appetites ahead of an official debut later this month.
