Weighty UK techno, oddball electro, sleazy chug and plenty more…

Overmono – Catapult

Two years on since fraternal duo Truss and Tessela unveiled their Overmono project with the Arla trilogy on XL Recordings and they’ve decided to give away a track that never made it onto any of those releases. Weighty UK techno that’s apparently receiving plenty of rotation from Ben UFO.

Mike Simonetti – The Magician

Sleazy chug from New Jersey’s Mike Simonetti, originally featured on the After Dark 2 compilation that dropped back in 2011 via Simonetti’s now-defunct label, Italians Do It Better.

“Often imitated, but never duplicated.”

I’m a Cliché Edit Service 86 – Serial Experiments

One half of Lithuanian blog/podcast series/radio show/promoter, whypeopledanceSerial Experiments is a purveyor of strange and obscure sounds rooted in the traditions of post-punk, EBM and industrial. He’s also the latest contributor to I’m a Cliché‘s now fortnightly free edit series.

C.A.R. – Eyes On You

Specialising in a distinctive brand of seductive, post-punk infected pop, Chloe Raunet, AKA C.A.R. (Choosing Acronyms Randomly), released her second album on the fledgling Ransom Note Records at the tail-end of 2017. Described by Raunet as a “proper winter stomp-around with the elephant in the closet,” ‘Eyes On You’ didn’t find a home on the album, but you can download it via XLR8R.

Papa Austin w/ The Great Peso – Wrong Girls To Play With (Good Block Dub)

London-based promoters Good Block get on the cut and paste, rolling out their edit of some weirdo New York electro from 1985. Download the track and check the other Good Block edits here.
