Fourth world electronics, brooding EBM, an Angelo Badalamenti edit and plenty more…

RAMZi – Breaking Through

RAMZi can seemingly do no wrong right now, hitting something of a purple patch in recent months. Releases on 12th Isle and Mood Hut are testament to the Montreal native’s prowess in the studio, as are the unreleased tracks that were made available via her recent ‘Breaking Through’ feature on Resident Advisor. Download them here.

Job Sifre – Gnardlank

Lithuania’s Kablys Club call on the services of Dutch up-and-comer Job Sifre, leading us knee deep into the murk with 5 minutes worth of brooding EBM intensity.

Edit Service 87 – by Plastique de Rêve

Weirdo acid from what we can only assume is a European DIY outfit active during the early 1980s, given the cut and paste treatment by Plastique De Rêve and shared via I’m a Cliché‘s free edit series.

Nommo Hunzuu – Dark Space Low (Drinnen Traum Edit)

One of our favourite composers (Angelo Badalamenti) gets recontextualised on one of our favourite current labels (Origin Peoples) – if you watched Twin Peaks: The Return this might sound familiar. A lo-fi edit of a piece from the original score, it’s set to feature on Nommo Hunzuu‘s upcoming Origin Peoples cassette, Drinnen Traum.

Dr. Max – Co Ty Jsi Zač (Layup Edit)

Endless Illusion co-founder Layup (AKA Exhausted Modern) serving up his edit of an “EBM-ish song” by Czech soft rockers, Dr. Max. Word is these guys got back together last year after 25 years apart. Anyone else up for the reunion tour?
