Well this is big news. Light In The Attic are celebrating their 15th anniversary with a truly remarkable show at the Barbican. Taking place on on June 23rd, attendees will witness a rare performance from iconic Japanese polymath, Haruomi Hosono, followed by a reunion of South Californian alternative rockers Acetone during the latter half of this musical epic.
For the unacquainted, Haruomi Hosono has been an almost constant fixture in the Japanese music industry. His career has been characterised by a chameleon-like morphing through genre, spending his early days in the influential folk rock band Happy End, later going on to trail blaze through electronic music both solo and as one third of Yellow Magic Orchestra. The most important thing to note is that Hosono is still yet to perform on British soil as a solo act.
Joining him on stage, Acetone will give their first live performance since disbanding shortly following the death of a key band member in 2001.
Tickets go on general sale April 6th via the Barbican website.
