Social distancing getting you down? Feel like you’re beginning to fray at the edges? ‘Locked In (Isolutions)’ is a week of iso-themed content, geared towards making yet another 7 days of stay-at-home mundanity that bit more bearable…
Released on Antinote last June, Frogmania is the proggy, amphibian-themed release from River Yarra. Built around bass synths reminiscent of a goliath frog mid-croak, the four-tracker suggests a producer that doesn’t take himself too seriously, and its release would see the Australian crowned frogking forevermore.
From 88 to a comparably galloping 140 BPM, progressive house tropes, chugging rhythms and glissading arpeggios are all present across its varied delights. Today, River Yarra bares all to help bring our week of iso content to a close, giving an in-depth look at the creative process behind opening track, ‘Toad Charmer’.
