Calling on the like-minded both far and wide, Machine Jazz Machine Jazz is the newly-established outlet for Annanan‘s one-take, jam-based constructions, produced in alongside friends and peers from around the globe. From his hometown of Berlin to Tel Aviv, the debut release sets the precedent as Israeli duo TV.OUT join him for a blistering techno four-tracker.

Unlike its counterparts, ‘The Dark Room’ is dimly-lit from beginning to end and it isn’t long before you find yourself knee-deep in the murk. Paired with comparatively sharp cymbal arrangements and the viscous groove feels bottomless, like the sonorous elements might threaten to swallow you up, eardrums first. While muffled and dampened, the one-chord piano progression (or lack of) sounds austere in its repetition as Annanan and TV.OUT dial up the tension in the second half.

Lost in Tel-Aviv is out February 27th on Machine Jazz – pre-order the vinyl here.
