With an effervescent body of music beginning to grow, The Transient Nature Of The Disco Business (TTnoTDB) falls from above as one to keep an eye on. The Swedish label paid homage to the future-sound-of Malmö, Gothenburg and Stockholm on a stupidly good inaugural release, and now they pick up where that first release tantalisingly left off.

It’s worth noting this label’s playful language, coupled with its visual identity, communicates a platform carved out with thought, and done proper. Behrang Mohammadi and Sean Alexander’s Repetition Is The Mother Of All Repetition testifies to the above. With four tracks on offer, the shrieking ‘Poshtesh Bahare’ comes poised between two profoundly different remixes, courtesy of Samo DJ and Johanna Knutsson. While monumentally different in the emotions they elicit, both cunningly succeed in reinterpreting some of the bedrock components propping up the original; hugely welcomed.

Knutsson repackages the steady dance-floor climber into – nearly – 7 minutes’ worth of supremely soft new age ambience. You have to adjust your ears to fully decipher components of the original, which can only be testament to the Berliner’s superb work.
