The latest from Berlin label Pace Yourself picks up where Dream_E’s widescreen ambient left off. Originally commissioned to soundtrack Marie-Laurence de Chauvingy de Blot’s exhibition of the same name, Horizons Sauvages sees Dugong conjure two meditations on the French painter’s dialogue with nature.

The rumbling thunder of a distant cloud penetrated by gleaming arpeggios, A-side cut ‘Loire’ sets tape loops against a backdrop of lapping water and bird song. Scenes of sylvan bliss rendered in pristine, pastoral ambience.

Horizons Sauvages is out March 29th on Pace Yourself | Pre-order here
