Italian imprint Alley Version roll out their inaugural release in style with the Demons & Tapes EP, a memorably split 12″ consisting of high-octane, percussion heavy bangers, courtesy of Mituo Shiomi and Drum Machine. We’ve managed to get our grubby mitts on an exciting premiere from the A-side of this fresh batch of truly jacking numbers – Shiomi’s ‘Now I Know’ is presented in all its analog glory just below.

Kick-starting things off with a truly gnarly riff that threatens to evolve into some genuinely teeth-grinding feedback, this in-your-face sample is clipped beautifully to highlight its virtue as a catchy, melodic refrain. This focal point gradually evolves with its surroundings as things progress: 808 high notes shimmer along its spine with ferocious intensity as it essentially becomes a locked groove, proceedings rolling along powerfully until the original metallic sounds come back into play.

Demons & Tapes is out May 10th on Alley Version – pre-order the vinyl here.
