The title to Rabu Mazda‘s sophomore album – which roughly translates as ‘it’s always on fire’ – is indicative of the irrepressible energy contained inside. Set for release on on Extended Records subsidiary Discos Extendes, Tá Sempre Pegando Fogo‘s electrified fusion and subsequent deconstruction of Brazilian funk, kuduro, footwork and house tropes makes for pure dancefloor fodder.

Our pick, ‘Mago Mazda’, finds itself suspended somewhere between footwork and kuduro. Dialling up the vocal glitch, it’s a frenzied mutant workout primed to set the dance aflame.

Tá Sempre Pegando Fogo is out March 5th on Discos Extendes | Pre-order here
