Madrid-based label Analogical Force have enlisted the talents of London producer James Clarke, AKA Shinra, for their sixth release to date, with the Meteor EP landing in record stores in the not too distant future. The imprint’s latest 12″, which will consist of four interstellar cuts, promises to deliver the unique strain of electronic production listeners have come to expect from Shinra’s output over the years.
‘Plannt’ begins with some unaccompanied moody chords which quickly fold in favour of a truly arresting electro composition, and this is where Shinra truly allows himself to shine. The underlying rhythmic sirens help to highlight the sheer density of this track and its elements: the flexible and richly layered nature which persists throughout means that ‘Plannt’ is one that can suit both listening on the floor and on headphones in equal measure.
The Meteor EP is out May 12th on Analogical Force – pre-order direct from the label.
