Only a pocketful of releases featuring Amoon Andrew AKA Sir Lord Comixx’s prized brand of UK house and techno sound have been circulating since 1996’s Ugly Music release, Danceteria, and the Funk Box EP, mid-way through Andrew’s compact career via his alternate alias, a.Moon. While those are both examples of the obscure and scarce material collectors often scavenge for, his latest release, Moment of Certainty, will come by way of Julien Besançon’s label, That Place Records.

Thanks to the efforts of Colin Dale’s Abstrakt Dance and Ben Boe’s For Those That Knoe label at the start of the decade, Sir Lord Commix’s music has started to become accessible for us to put under our needles. The Release on That Place achieves no less, mastered by Simon from the Exchange the tracks all feature that classic bite. Turn your attention to ‘Elevation’ for an example: a perfect balance in the arrangement of the production, tight drums and harmoniously overlaying synths will bring any party into full swing.

Moment Of Certainty is out June 2nd on That Place Records – pre-order the vinyl here.
