Ahead releasing his first album in thirteen years via Bill Kouligas’ label, Errorsmith joined the PAN label head on NTS for two discordant hours of experimental electronics and broken techno. The hackneyed phrase ‘forward-thinking’ definitely rings true here.
Madteo strings together another dope mix of records picked up at local flea markets, and all for one dollar or less. Disco sleaze into uplifiting house with brief pit stops in EBM and synth-pop territory.
Co-run by Andy Blake and Joe Hart, World Unknown grew from modest beginnings as a monthly party to a bonafide London institution. Last year’s decision to scale back the number of events – relocating from utilising various South London spaces to a larger venue in Hackney Wick’s Bloc – demonstrated how far it has come, but that has clearly afforded them time to relaunch the eponymous label. To mark the occasion, Blake linked up with the Ransom Note for a label feature, recording a mix that captures the debauched, no-holds-barred personality of WU in the process.
