In a collaboration between Croatia’s Love International and the Balearic authority, Test Pressing, a host of artists and DJs are set to channel the “Sound Of Love International” across a series of compilations. Featuring music “close to their heart, and with ties to the festival,” these vinyl-only releases will provide the perfect remedy to anyone missing out on a trip to the Dalmatian coast this summer. First up, Ben Williams, AKA Gatto Fritto.
Having played there two years running, Williams delivers a fitting introduction to the series with a selection of tracks from his sets at the festival’s iconic open air club, Barbarella’s. Born from the ashes of the pioneering Garden Festival, Love International takes place on the same site in Tisno, and the reputation of this particular venue precedes even the festival itself. Evoking sun, sea and tepid Croatian lager, the mixture of weirdo dub, leftfield dance cuts and electronic curiosities empower listeners to get a feel for Love International through the lens of someone who just split half a tab.
Sound Of Love International 001 is out June 15th – pre-order the vinyl here.
