Formed in 2018, Bogota-based label Eternal Ocean presents its second vinyl release, a four-track patchwork of extraterrestrial textures and rhythm titled Static Flow. A debut EP from Awo Ojiji, the moniker of Timo Bürgler, based out of Graz, Austria, takes influences from the climate, mapping out a unique yet precise terrain of rhythms that pounce forward in unpredictable manner.

‘Grainhive’ brings a heightened awareness of nature and the place we inhabit on the Earth: the layering faintly familiar surface sounds – perhaps firewood unloaded onto moss coated ground, or the call of a morning cockerel – contrast with distant, otherworldly whirling, electrified insect song, lurching bassline and pitter-patter breaks. With a driving and positive elasticity, the record as a whole offers moments of euphoria twisted with introversion.

Static Flow is out January 31st on Eternal Ocean – pre-order here
