He was born in New Zealand, but musically, Intergalactic Gary‘s formative years were spent nearly 20 thousand miles away in The Hague. Proving fertile ground for electronic experimentation, the likes of Viewlexx founder I-f and Legowelt are just two names that can call the Dutch city home and arriving in the early 1990s, it didn’t take IG long to immerse himself in that burgeoning, eccentric scene.
From playing squat parties to his first club residency, Intergalactic Gary is best known for uncompromising, genre-hopping DJ sets. He’s no stranger to releasing his own productions, however. 13 years since releasing music as one half of The Conservatives alongside I-f, and the bearded selector got back in the studio to partner up with Greek producer Pasiphae on a brand new 12″.
With Halloween looming, it seems fitting that we get to share the goosebump-inducing B2 cut with you today. Set for release on Rotterdam’s Bio Rhythm Records, ominous doesn’t even come close to describing the booming drums that bring the alternative version of ‘Second Term’ to life. Like the LEDs on a mixing desk built with alien technology, a symphony of discordant electronics dance overhead, swirling into one another in a vortex of dark and otherworldly sonics.
Made Of Glass is out October 31st on Bio Rhythm – pre-order the vinyl here.
