Arriving on Seilscheibenpfeiler, the Modeselektor-helmed imprint recently revived after 24 years spent dormant, the latest effort from Twin Cities mainstay Kasper Marott speaks to his versatility. Unlike the humid and often tribal dancefloor transmissions we’d been treated to in 2017, the title track from his impending Keflavik EP has more in common with the Nordic disco popularised by the likes of Lindstrøm and Prins Thomas. An exhilarating, radiant dancefloor workout, it’s equipped an Italo bassline and synth arpeggios so effervescent they’re reminiscent of that first poolside sip of ice cold sparkling water when you’re trying to nurse a holiday hangover. Something to stick on while you’re trying to remedy those post-summer blues, maybe.

The Keflavik EP is out September 21st on Seilscheibenpfeiler – pre-order direct from the label.
