It seems all Ludwig A.F. Röhrscheid productions are cast from one musical mould. Coated with the same wistful patina as sought-after debut, Velocity, his latest sees pads span horizons and 303s melt synapses across four tracks that are more euphoric heartbreak than peak-time elation.

‘Weightless’ is reminiscent of Rephlex-esque acid and the armchair, home listening techno of Artificial Intelligence-era Warp. Like Aphex or B12 at their most mellow, the richly-detailed IDM overflows with emotional resonance.
