Since decorating the Public Possession imprint with a contribution to their Chill Pill compilation, Luka Seifert, AKA RIP Swirl, is joining the ranks of Lipelis, Bell Towers and Samo DJ with a solo outing, not to mention his full debut, titled 9TEEN90.

Imparting his lo-fi wisdom, the 6-tracker offers an assortment of evocative, dancefloor-ready cuts, but Seifert isn’t a bard; he strives to ensnare emotion in each of his projects and “never tell[s] a story”; instead his production is “just about a certain feeling that [he] trie[s] to capture.” ‘Looser’, exemplifies this ethos of sonic introspection. Scintillating vibrantly with emergent crackles of electrified percussion, it’s backlit by a mellifluous fog of shivering glass vocals, crystallising in a fertile bed of nebulous cashmere pad work.

9teen90 is out October 18th on Public Possession – pre-order here
