Muscut‘s “last contribution to global warming under the 2019 quotas” is testament to broad portfolios of creative work. Individually, Konstantin Bessonov and Simon Roessler normally operate way beyond the confines of conventional music; both are outsiders to that world, scoring everything from theatre productions and contemporary dance routines to documentaries analysing the 2010 financial crisis.

As uon duh, an experimental fusion of library and musique concrete is probably the most stark realisation of their experimental tendencies yet: ‘Hotel Verdi’, for example, straddles classical composition and free jazz improvisation, marrying all the drama and suspense of those aforementioned projects with minimalist aesthetics.

EUROPE is out December 6th on Muscut – pre-order here
