By their normally prolific standards, it’s been a quiet couple of months for The Trilogy Tapes. During the Spring and Summer we saw the label make a flurry of releases, putting out some excellent records from the likes of Rezzett and A Made Up Sound, but things seem to have somewhat slowed down.

Now the London-based label readies what will likely be their final offering of the 2014, calling on the services of New Yorkers DJ Spider and Marshallito to follow up their Deadly Structures EP with another 12″. A playful affair, laden with samples of sultry piano and African chanting all of which is anchored by an unflinching kick drum – ‘Nuclear Winter’ is our first taste of the record and a pretty decent introduction to the twenty-ninth TTT release.

We’ll have to wait to hear the rest, but staggering the previews definitely serves a purpose. We’ll probably be responsible for half of the total Soundcloud plays when this record finally hits the shelves.

TTT029 is set for a release on December 20th in 12″ format.
