A weekly rundown of mixes and radio shows we’ve been enjoying…

IA MIX 273 Solaris

Falling on the experimental side of techno, Inverted Audio invited one of  Leipzig’s finest to deliver a mix. PH17 co-founder Solaris doesn’t fuck about here, throwing in some unreleased M.E.S.H. for good measure.

SIREN MIX 005: Sentimental Rave

Parisian DJ Sentimental Rave on the buttons for the SIREN gang, touching on techno, gabber, hardcore and trance sounds with a distinctly emotive mix.

Here’s what she had to say: “When I do a new mix, I try to put in some new tracks that I just dig; generally it’s a mix between new and old stuff. That’s why I put 700 Bliss (Moor Mother + Dj Haram), Umfang, Digital and L.A.B, with some 90’s classics. I also like to deconstruct the mix, and change the atmosphere with some rap vocals for example – and I always like to finish my mix with some hardcore or gabber. I close with Zenith – Streets of Avalon; which is for me a really beautiful hardcore track — I feel very touched by this one.”

Low Company Radio on NTS

It hasn’t taken long for the Blackest Every Black-affiliated Low Company to assert itself as one of the best record stores in London. Stitching together experimental electronics, dancefloor oddities and other curiosities on a monthly basis, the Kenny White-helmed NTS residency is receiving similar acclaim.

BIS Radio Show #933 with Jennifer Touch

Berlin’s Jennifer Touch joined FIT Siegel on the airwaves for the most recent Beats In Space broadcast, turning out a killer blend which touches on everything from Willie Burns to Claude Young, spanning electro, house, techno and beyond.

PPGMIX024 | 96 Back

Following his recent induction to the CPU family, Sheffield native 96 Back jumps on the Pretty Pretty Good mix series with a UK-centric hour of techno and electro.
